So yeah, I sing. Well, even.

I've sung in bands, solo, in small vocal groups, in choirs. I sing lead as easily as backup, and backup as easily as lead (not everyone realizes how different those two skills are). I've recorded albums both in digital settings and analog, in "real" professional studios and in people's laundry rooms. If I played an instrument or wrote songs, I might be out there performing music more on my own, but I don't do either of those things. However, I am quite capable of taking over once the song's been wrote. :)

I'm comfortable in a bunch of different styles, but if I picked out my own music - instead of being a good team member and doing whatever my band's singer-songwriter writes - I'd be more about the alt rock, the quirky singer-songwriter stuff. It's probably not surprising that I like funny songs. :) On the other hand, I've always wanted to get more rock and roll and agressive-sounding than I've ever really gotten to do with others.

The band I sang with longest was called Third Door Down. I sang mostly high background vocals, but I did get my own "solos" at times. At the moment, their stuff comprises the best examples I have of any music I've done.
